1987 – LP Single Faraó Egypt Deity (with Djalma Oliveira)
Two years after having started to work with amatour theater in Salvador, Margareth was invited by Djalma Oliveira to record the LP single with him a song by Luciano Gomes. More than 100 thousand copies have been sold.

1988 -  Margareth Menezes LP (Polygram)
It is Margareth´s first album. It has granted her The Press Award (Trofeu Imprensa) for best LP (album) and best singer. The show was held all over Brazil and in Argentina too. Tenda do Amor (magia) was one of the outstanding songs among others and Elegibô (Rey Zulu and Ithamar Tropicália).

1991 - CD Um Canto Pra Subir (Polygram)
A year after having gone on the International Tour Rei Momo, by Talking Heads (David Byrne) Margareth released the album. The CD features David Byrne, it was also released in the USA by Mango Island Records and it was the first of a series, with Ramiro Mussoto and Pedro Giorlandinni´s arrengements. Ifá – Um Canto pra Subir and Marmelada were some of the songs that were in it.

1992 – Elegibô CD (Polydor)
This CD was only released in the USA, Europe and Japan by the English company Polydor.

1993 – Kindala CD (Polygram)
Kindala means great lips in Yoruba, featuring Jimmy Cliff. The album remained for 10 weeks in the Billboard World Albums (having the second position) and it granted her first nomination for the world Grammy.

1994 – Luz Dourada CD (Polygram)
The last album by Margareth with Mussoto and Giorlandinni´s arrengements. Vou Mandar and Raça Negra were on the songlist.

1995 – Gente de Festa CD (Continental)
This album features Caetano Veloso and Maria Bethânia on the songs Ilê Que Fala de Amor and Sou Araketu.

2001 – Maga Afropop Brasileiro (Estrela do Mar)
Produced by Carlinhos Brown and Alê Siqueeira, the album features Daniela Mercury and Ivete Sangalo and has as a great hit Dandalunda (composed by Carlinhos Brown). This work highlights Margareth´s composing skills, which bears 5 songs (Preciso, Moderninha, Pelo Mar lhe Mando Flor, Despertar and Nego Doce - the last one with Carlinhos Brown).

2003 – Tete-a-Tete (Estrela do Mar)
Margareth´s  first live recording CD features Carlinhos Brown and Cidade Negra Band. The concert took place at Concha Acustica (Salvador) and gathered more than 11thousand people. The hits include Toté de Maianga, Alegria da Cidade, Marmelada and rerecordings of O Quereres (Caetano Veloso), Carinhoso (Pinxinguinha), Blowing in the Wind (Bob Dylan) and Noite dos Mascarados (Chico Buarque).

2004 – Ao Vivo no Festival de Verão Salvador CD/DVD
Featuring Alcione and the Mangueira Drumming Group, Margareth recorded her first DVD that sold more than 50 thousand copies. On account of that, Margareth was nicknamed as The Brazilian Aretha Franklin by the Los Angeles Times after having been on the news in the New York Times, Le Monde and Washington Post.

2006 – Pra Você CD (EMI Music)
The album features Ivete Sangalo (Como Tu) and Claudio Zoli (Só eu e mais ninguem) with Moogie Canazio´s production (who produced Maria Bethania´s and Caetano Veloso´s CDs). On the songlist, songs like Abanaê, Bolea Brasil, Versos de Amor, and Miragem na Esquina. In the same year, the singer starred in the Year of Brazil in France and in the Culture Cup in Berlin.

2006 Brasileira CD/DVD (EMI MUSIC)
This CD pays a tribute to the Samba Reggae and live rearrangements to greatest hits of Margareth´s career. Carlinhos Brown (Lenda Yoruba), Mateus Aleluia and Saul Barbosa (Cordeiro de Nanã / Deixa A Gira Girar / Atabaque Chora) feature in this album. Margareth was granted her second nomination to Grammy through this album.

2008 – Naturalmente CD (MZA Music)
This is the outcome from her partnership with Marco Mazzola (MZA Music). The CD shows the singer´s most intimate side, with songs by Nando Reis, Zeca Baleiro, Gilberto Gil, Marisa Monte, Arnaldo Antunes, Chico Cesar, Luís Represas and Roberto Mendes. Margareth herself composed the track Lua no Mar together with her husband Robson Costa. On Mulher de Coronel track, Margareth sings along with Gilberto Gil and on Um Caso a Mais, she counts on the Portuguese singer Luís Represas as a guest.

2010 – Naturalmente Acústico CD/DVD (MZA Music)
It is brought from the Naturalmente CD (2006). It mixes music videos, backstage and chats. It features Carlinhos Brown (Amor Ainda), the Portuguese singer Luís Represas (Um Caso a Mais), Roberto Mendes (A Beira e o Mar), Marivaldo Stomp (Côco do M) and Saul Barbosa (Gracias a La Vida). The Naturalmente Acústico CD has a co-production with Canal Brasil with MZA Music and Estrela do Mar Productions.
